Don Omar (William Omar Landron Riviera, born February 10, 1978 in Carolina, Puerto Rico, USA) is a Puerto Rican reggaeton singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, and music producer. In 2003, Don released his first solo studio album, The Last Don, which was certified platinum by the Recording Studios Association of America. The album sold over 1 million copies worldwide. In 2003, Don Omar won two Billboard Latin Music Awards in different categories. In 2006, Don released the album "King of Kings," which became the highest-rated reggaeton album, entered the top 10 of the American charts and won the Billboard Latin Music Award in 2007. The single "Angelito" reached number one on Billboard Latin Rhythm. In 2012 Omar presented the album "The New Generation", for which he won the Latin Grammy Awards.
