Natalia Vetlitskaya (born August 17, 1964, Moscow) is a Soviet and Russian pop singer, dancer and actress. Winner of the festival "Song of the Year" and the award "Sound Track" Together with her first husband Pavel Smeyan in 1985-1986 worked in the State Pop Orchestra of the RSFSR under the baton of Maxim Dunayevsky. In 1985, the movie "Train Out of Time" was released, which featured a song sung by Vetlitskaya (credits: Natalia Smeyan). For two years, starting in 1986, she performed as a dancer and backing vocalist in the collective Idea Fix. She worked as a dancer in Alla Pugacheva's ballet "Recital". Then she joined the popular group "Rondo" as a choreographer, dancer and backing vocalist, having recorded four compositions for the tape album "Rondo-86", released in 1987. At the end of 1987 she took part in the recording of the song "Closing the Circle", which was shown on the New Year's Eve TV broadcast. In 1988 she became a soloist of the group "Mirazh". As a member of this group she toured many cities of the USSR. In 1988 Igor Matvienko, Andrey Zuev, Oleg Katsura, Oleg Kurokhtin, Alexei Gorsky and Valery Zharov united in the group "Class", which played in the style of electropop. Vetlitskaya performed as a dancer and backing vocalist for the group. In 1990 "Class" broke up, and Vetlitskaya began to collaborate with Andrei Zuev. The first fruit of this collaboration was the song "Look in the eyes", which according to the magazine "Afisha" was included in the list of "The brightest and most memorable Russian pop hits for the last 20 years". In 1992, a music video for the song was released by Fyodor Bondarchuk and Tigran Keosayan. Andrei Zuev's song "Magadan" performed by Natalia Vetlitskaya won Song of the Year. In 1996 she released the album "Slave of Love", songs from which were constantly in rotation of many radio stations. Then came out a collection of hits "Best Songs". In 1997, she performed one of the main roles in the musical movie "The Newest Adventures of Pinocchio". She recorded two musical compositions for the movie - "Sleep, Karabas" and "Taj Mahal" in a duet with Sergei Mazaev, who played the cat Basilio in the movie. She also recorded a duet with Maxim Pokrovsky (leader of the band Nogu Svelo!) song "Rivers". Since 1998 she has been practicing Kriya Yoga, attending Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's courses in India. Natalia is also involved in charity work. Since 1999 she regularly provides material aid to children of psychoneurological hospital No. 4, located in the village of Nikolskoye, Ruza district, Moscow region. She writes music, composes poetry, paints and designs. In 2003 Maxim Papernik's musical movie "The Snow Queen" was released, where Natalia played the role of the Princess and sang the song "Lanterns" as a duet with Vadim Azarkh. In the same year, Vetlitskaya performed for the last time at the Song of the Year festival, singing the song "Flame of Passion". In 2004, the music video for the song "Birdie". In 2006 she performed in the concert hall "Dzintari" in Jurmala as part of the cultural program of the contest "New Wave". In 2009, the music video for the song "Everything is not for nothing". In 2012, she moved to Spain to the provincial town of Denia. In 2019, Vetlitskaya announced her return to the stage. A contract was concluded with the Russian music corporation PMI, which will organize her concerts. Preparations for the concert program began by December of the same year. Initially, the singer's concert tour was to take place in 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the concert tour was postponed to 2021, and then canceled altogether. Her first public performance in Russia after a long break took place on January 31, 2020 at a concert dedicated to Dmitry Malikov's 50th birthday with the song "Soul", which the jubilee wrote for her. They sang the song "What a Strange Fate" together
