Basto (Jeff Martens, born January 8, 1975 in Hogstraten, Belgium) is a Belgian producer, songwriter and remixer, DJ, musician. Also known by the pseudonyms Candyman and Lazy Jay. His compositions in the genre of electro house, hard dance and progressive house. Jeff Martens gained international popularity after the release of the single "Again and Again" in 2011. With the single "The Gregory's Theme" in 2011, Basto was at the top of the French charts for a long time. The single "Out There", released in 2009 won the top position in the European charts. Basto's tracks have been recognized by world stars.
