Atif Aslam (Urdu: عاطف اسلم, romanized: ʿĀṭif Aslam; born 12 March 1983) is a Pakistani singer-songwriter and actor. He has recorded many songs in both Pakistan and India and is known for his vocal belting technique. Born in Wazirabad, his musical career began in 2003 as part of the band Jal. Atif Aslam predominantly sings in Urdu but has also sung in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Pashto. Aslam made his acting debut in 2011 with the Urdu social drama film Bol (2011). In 2019, he was awarded a star on the Dubai Walk of Fame after his nomination for the best singer in Pakistan. He was also featured in Forbes Asia's 100 Digital Stars, published in December 2020. His fans are known as Atizians.
