Twenty One Pilots are back with a stunning new song, The Line, crafted exclusively for the soundtrack of Arcane season two. The track marks the band’s first release since their album Clancy earlier this year and dives deep into the emotional core of the League of Legends-inspired Netflix series.
Frontman Tyler Joseph revealed that the themes of family and belonging in Arcane’s storyline resonated with him:
"I found myself inspired by how the idea of family and who can make up your family sits within the central theme, and how music contributed to bringing that to life within the world of Arcane."
Accompanied by a visually arresting music video set to drop on Monday, November 25, The Line promises to immerse fans even deeper into the world of Runeterra. Meanwhile, the entire season two soundtrack lands tomorrow, November 23, alongside the release of Arcane’s final act.
The album is shaping up to be as dynamic as the show itself, with highlights including Ashnikko’s fierce anthem Paint The Town Blue and d4vd’s poignant Remember Me. Fans can also look forward to tracks from Stray Kids, Fever 333, and Freya Ridings.
Maria Egan, global head of music at Riot Games, emphasized the cultural mosaic represented in the album:
"Arcane’s groundbreaking approach to music inspired an incredibly diverse group of artists from many genres, languages, and cultures who wanted to be part of this new season. Each song was a unique collaboration between the artists, our showrunners, and Riot’s composers. Music is the heartbeat of the League community and we can’t wait for our fans to experience this epic album to deepen their connection to these powerful stories"
With Arcane’s second season split into three acts, the finale promises an explosive conclusion to a series that has already captured hearts worldwide. Riot Games has teased that while this chapter of Arcane is closing, it’s just the beginning of their storytelling in the League of Legends universe.
