Skrillex - Sonny John Moore (born January 15, 1988, Los Angeles) is an American musician, producer, DJ and frontman of the rock band From First to Last. He participated in the recording of Korn's album The Path of Totality. In 2012 Skrillex was the second in the top 5 highest-paid DJs in the world according to Forbes, and with earnings of $15 million he surpassed such stars as David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, etc. Skrillex was nominated for five Grammy Awards in 2011, including Best New Artist. At the 54th Grammy Awards, he was awarded in three categories: Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites - Best Dance/Electronic Album; "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" - Best Dance Recording; and "Benny Benassi - Cinema (Skrillex Remix)" - Best Remix. At the 55th Grammy Awards, he was nominated and awarded in three categories: Bangarang for Best Dance Recording; Bangarang EP for Best Electronic Album; Promises (Skrillex & Nero Remix) for Best Remix. Skrillex and Diplo won both nominations at the 58th Grammy Awards, taking statuettes for the album 'Jack Ü' in the 'best dance electronic album' category and the track 'Where Are Ü Now' won in the 'best dance track' category. At the end of 2021, DJ Magazine ranked Skrillex as the 15th best DJ on the planet.
