Cobain's Jackets is a musical production project of one of the leaders of the Russian band BI-2 - Shura BI-2, created in 2018 in the format of a supergroup. The project does not adhere to a certain genre framework, as all the invited participants are representatives of different musical directions. The band's name is a homophone of the name of the founder of the band Nirvana, Kurt Cobain. Since the summer of 2022, having changed its musical format to an all-electronic one, it continues to operate under the name "Kay Kay". The project's first single, written by Diana Arbenina, "Grasshopper Hunt," was released on November 5, 2018. In the summer of 2022, having changed both the composition and the musical format (to fully electronic), the group continues its activity under the name "Kay Kay", having already presented the first single "Much Light" under this name on August 5. Also it is already known that now the composition of the group includes digital avatars, which in the future will become full members of the band. Initially the project was conceived as a strictly studio project. However, the first live performance of Cobain's Jackets at the Russian National Music Award "Victoria" took place in autumn. The group consisting of Shura B-2, Manizha and Leonid Agutin performed the song "People on escalators".
