Alessandro Mahmoud (born 12 September 1992), better known by his stage name Mahmood, is an Italian singer and composer. He became famous after participating in the sixth season of the Italian version of The X Factor. He won the Sanremo Festival 2019 with the song "Soldi" and represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, where he took 2nd place. Together with Blanco, after winning the Sanremo Festival 2022, he represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with the song "Brividi", where the singers took sixth place.
