Kim Petras (German: Kim Petras; born August 27, 1992, Cologne, Germany) is a German singer and songwriter. Kim's debut EP, which was later removed from venues, was released on March 11, 2011 and was titled One Piece Of Tape. The budding pop star was later spotted by Lukasz Gottwald (Dr. Luke) and signed to his label. On August 1, 2017, her debut single "I Don't Want It All" premiered, and her debut album Feed The Beast was released on June 23, 2023. Petras has a rich discography, in addition to her debut work, it includes mixtapes and EPs: TURN OFF THE LIGHT, VOL. 1 (2018), Clarity (2019), TURN OFF THE LIGHT (2020), Slut Pop (2022), second studio album Problématique (2023) and singles. The girl is also known for her work with Nicki Minaj, Sam Smith, Paris Hilton, Meghan Trainor, Charli XCX, SOPHIE and others. Petras is the recipient of one Grammy statuette, which she won with Sam Smith for her song Unholy at the 65th Grammy Awards. She is the second trans woman to win a Grammy (the first was Wendy Carlos, who won 3 in 1969), but the first in the 21st century and in her own category.
