Tanir & Tyomcha is a rap duo from Kazakhstan. Initially, the guys were in the band Da Gudda Jazz, the group became a duo in 2017.
Tanir (Renat Sayfutdinov, born August 23, 1989 in Zarinsk, Altai) is a representative of the Kazakh school of rap. Tanir's nickname is almost a full mirror image of his native name - Renat.
He dreamt of making music since childhood, and finally decided on his future profession when he listened to Eminem. Renat began rapping when he was in school, performing at festive events. Tanir met Artem (real name Tyomcha) when he was studying at the institute in Almaty, Timokha's hometown.
Tyomcha (Artem Korolev; born March 20, 1991, Alma-Ata, USSR) . Since childhood he was fond of underground and alternative music and dreamed of being popular in his native Kazakhstan. Artem recorded his first track when he was 12 years old. Before meeting Tanir, he tried himself as a rock musician and participated in rap battles.
In 2009 the guys decided to organize a band Da Gudda Jazz, the discography of which consists of three albums "Half a Floor", "HIT-HOP", "Legend". The guys achieved popularity in their region, but after the songs "Da Da Da Da" and "Wake Me Up" appeared on TV they decided to disband Da Gudda Jazz and to promote the duet Tanir & Tyomcha.
The breakthrough duo Tanir & Tyomcha happened in 2021, when the guys released the hit "Lost Boyfriend." The track entered the music charts, and the YouTube clip was viewed by several million people.
Some of the duo's most popular tracks, for which music videos were filmed, are "Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah" and "Lost Boyfriend", which have gathered more than 16 and 32 million views on YouTube.
