Following a name change to Latto, her mainstream breakthrough came following the release of her 2021 single "Big Energy", which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified triple platinum. Her second album 777 (2022), peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200 and she was named as Variety's "Breakthrough Artist" of 2022. In 2023, she achieved her first number-one hit on the Hot 100 as well as on the Billboard Global 200 with her feature on BTS member Jungkook's single "Seven".
Latto received nominations for Best New Hip Hop Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards and Top Rap Female Artist at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.
