Shania Twain - Eilleen Regina Edwards (born August 28, 1965, Windsor, Ontario) is a Canadian singer and actress. She has sold over 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling female artists of all time and the best-selling performer in the history of country music. Her success has earned her several titles, including "Queen of Country Pop." Billboard named her the top country-pop crossover star of the '90s.
Twain has won five Grammy Awards, two World Music Awards, 39 BMI Songwriter Awards, and has been inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. According to the RIAA, she is the only female performer in history whose three albums (in a row) have been certified as "diamond" by the RIAA, and the sixth best-selling female performer in the United States. Overall, Twayne ranks as the 10th best-selling artist by Nielsen SoundScan. Billboard ranked Twayne as the 13th greatest solo artist of all time (42nd overall).
