LP (Laura Pergolizzi, born March 18, 1981 in Long Island, New York, USA) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She works in the genre of indie rock, indie-pop, pop-rock, and alternative rock. In 2001 Laura presented her first studio album Heart-Shaped Scar, and in 2004 the singer released her second album Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol. In 2010, Pergolizzi made a name for herself as a songwriter and has written songs for Rihanna, Cher, Christina Aguilera and the Backstreet Boys. In May 2012, Vogue magazine named Laura performer of the week. In 2015, Elle P. presented the single "Lost on You," which topped the charts in Belgium, France, Greece, Poland and Israel. In 2018, the studio album "Heart to mouth" was released, which was certified gold in Poland, and the singles from the album reached the top 10 of the charts in several countries.
