Eva Leonidovna Polna (born May 19, 1975, Leningrad) is a Russian singer, composer and songwriter. The former lead singer of the Russian band Gosti iz Budushchego. The winner of nine Golden Gramophone Awards. The most rotated performer on radio stations in Russia and the CIS in 2013. She writes mock verses under the pseudonym "Josephine Askoldovna Vozderzhayk". She was born on May 19, 1975 in Leningrad. Her father, Leonid Aleksandrovich Polye, - half Pole, half Ukrainian, - came from the Ternopil region of Ukraine, was a military doctor. Her mother, Lyubov Nikolayevna Polnaya, was a Russian, working as a production engineer at a plant in Leningrad. As a child, the future singer was fond of science fiction, and practiced singing and dancing. In 1991 she entered N. K. Krupskaya Leningrad State Institute of Culture. She graduated from Krupskaya Leningrad State Institute of Culture in 1996, where she became a bibliographer/librarian, majoring in Information Management and Marketing. After that she went to Saint-Petersburg College of Arts. In 2009, Eva Polna announced that she was breaking up the group and starting her solo career. At that time, she releases the song "Guys Don't Cry" and shoots a music video for it. In May 2010, the songs "Not Parting" and "Mirages" were released. In 2011 the songs "Ships" and "I don't have you too (Je T'aime)" were recorded. In 2012 Eva Polna released the single "The whole world in the palm of my hand", which ranked first in the Russian charts. The singer has two daughters: Evelyn (born June 6, 2005) by the singer Denis Klyaver. Amalia (born on May 8, 2007) by a businessman Sergey Pilgun. Her brother Vyacheslav Esenin.
