Billie Eilish Shatters Spotify Records: The Youngest to Hit 100 Million Monthly Listeners

Billie Eilish is riding high on the waves of success: she has officially become the third artist to surpass 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, all while boasting a catalog of just 82 songs.

Joining the elite ranks alongside The Weeknd (107 million) and Taylor Swift (102 million), Eilish’s achievement is even more impressive given her comparatively lean discography. At just 22 years old, she now holds the title of the youngest artist to reach this monumental milestone.

“Spotify has been a part of Billie’s journey from the beginning. Ever since "Ocean Eyes," she’s been steadily growing her global fan base,” says Jeremy Erlich, Spotify’s global head of music, to Billboard. “What she and [her brother-collaborator] Finneas have achieved since 2016 is nothing short of phenomenal... and all this by the age of 22.”

Eilish’s dominance is evident in her Spotify stats, with eight of her tracks residing in the platform’s coveted Billions Club. These include hits like “Lovely” with Khalid (2.8 billion streams), “Bad Guy” (2.5 billion), and “When the Party’s Over” (1.8 billion), among others.

Her breakout single, “Ocean Eyes,” first graced the Billboard Hot 100 in 2018, peaking at No. 84 the following year. Since then, she has placed 42 more tracks on the all-genre tally, with six of them cracking the top 10. Notably, “Bad Guy” topped the chart in August 2019, solidifying her as a pop powerhouse.

Billie’s latest album, the introspective "Hit Me Hard and Soft", dropped in April and made a strong debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Her previous albums, "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" and "Happier Than Ever", both enjoyed three-week stints at the top of the charts.

With a record-breaking career trajectory and an ever-growing fan base, Billie Eilish is proving that she’s not just a fleeting phenomenon but a lasting force in the music industry. Her story is far from over, and we’re all eagerly tuning in for the next chapter.
