Aespa Announce New Mini-Album "Whiplash" with Cyberpunk Teaser

K-pop girl group aespa have officially announced their next mini-album, Whiplash, set to drop on October 21. The announcement came on September 23 with the release of a stunning cyberpunk-inspired graphic teaser. This will be the group’s fifth mini-album, and according to SM Entertainment, it will feature six brand-new songs. Further details about the record will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The teaser for Whiplash comes just four months after aespa released their debut studio album, Armageddon, which featured hit singles Armageddon and Supernova. In addition to their recent success, the group teamed up with Canadian artist Grimes on a remix of Supernova, further expanding their global reach.

aespa are currently on their SYNK: Parallel Line world tour in support of Armageddon, where all four members have premiered new solo tracks. Following shows across Asia and Australia, the group is gearing up to perform in Bangkok later this week.
