Halsey Unveils Full Tracklist for New Album "The Great Impersonator"

Last night (September 25), Halsey took to social media to unveil the full tracklist for her highly anticipated fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator. The announcement came through a captivating video where a deck of playing cards, manipulated by magic and illusions, revealed the titles of the album’s 18 tracks.

Among the songs are previously released singles Ego, The End, Lonely Is The Muse, and Lucky. Notably, the album also includes three versions of Letter To God, each dated 1974, 1983, and 1998, leaving fans speculating whether these are full-length songs or interludes.

Set for release on October 25, the album features other intriguing titles like Only Living Girl in LA as the opening track, I Never Loved You, Arsonist, and the eponymous closer The Great Impersonator.

The Great Impersonator follows 2021’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power and is already shaping up to be a genre-bending project. In June, Halsey kicked off the album’s rollout with the single The End, which reflects on her battle with Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder, both diagnosed in 2022.

She followed up with Lucky in July, a track that samples Britney Spears, and more recently, Lonely Is The Muse. Halsey also gave fans a sneak peek of Ego during an intimate London gig this summer.

Speaking about the album, Halsey hinted that the record will be “all over the place” and filled with experimental sounds, also opening up about the emotional weight behind some of the songs, including her complex feelings surrounding a miscarriage she suffered during a performance in 2015.
