Kendrick Lamar Drops Surprise Album GNX

Kendrick Lamar has shaken up the music world once again with the surprise release of his sixth studio album, GNX. The Compton rapper unveiled the project on Friday evening (November 22) without prior warning, sparking instant buzz across the globe. The 12-track album runs for 44 minutes and is now streaming on all major platforms.

Marking his first release since 2022’s critically acclaimed Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, GNX features an impressive roster of producers, including Jack Antonoff, Kamasi Washington, Mustard, Terrace Martin, and Sounwave. Fans will also notice uncredited guest vocals from SZA on the tracks Luther and Gloria.

Despite rumors of a high-profile collaboration with Taylor Swift and speculation around Not Like Us being included, neither made the cut. The album firmly stands on its own, offering a fresh chapter in Lamar’s evolution.

GNX arrives during a career-defining moment for Kendrick. Just last month, he swept the BET Hip-Hop Awards, claiming eight trophies, including Artist of the Year and Lyricist of the Year. He’s also gearing up for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans, promising an unforgettable performance.
