American punk rock band formed in 1992 by guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLong, bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus and drummer Scott Raynor in the northern San Diego suburb of Poway, California.
The band achieved success in 1999 with the release of the album Enema of the State, which reached #9 on the Billboard 200 and went multi-platinum. The band's next album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001), managed to reach number one in the United States, Canada and Germany
