Katya Lel (real name - Ekaterina Nikolaevna Chuprinina, born. September 20, 1974, Nalchik) - Russian singer and songwriter, performer of popular songs "Lights", "I miss you", "Peas", "My Marmalade (I am not right)", "Dolletay", "Two drops" and others. People's Artist of Chechnya (2008) and People's Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria. She studied at music school, simultaneously in two departments - piano and choral conducting. After graduating, she went to a music college and then to the North Caucasus Institute of Arts.
For six years she was the soloist of the local band "Nalchik".
Soon, in 1994, she left for Moscow. There she became the winner of the "Musical Start - 1994" competition and the same year she began working at the Lev Leshchenko Theater. For three years she performed with her solo program and in the backing vocals with Leshchenko. At the same time she studied at the Gnesinka correspondence department and graduated from it in 1998.
In 1998 released the album Champs Elysees.
