Kai Metov (Kairat Erdenovich Metov; born September 19, 1964, Karaganda, USSR, Russia) is a Soviet and Russian singer-songwriter, singer, composer, Honored Artist of Russia (2015).
In 1991, Metov recorded his first songs ("Mama! I want to be a pioneer", "Broken Glass"). From that moment he began a solo career as an author and performer. In 1993 his debut album 'Position № 2' with the hit of the same name was released. The success was consolidated by the next album with the hit "Remember Me". Since then the artist began to tour a lot.
In 2003 Kai Metov wrote the song "Tea Rose" for the duet of Masha Rasputina and Philip Kirkorov, which became popular.
