Aura Dione (Maria Louise Jonsen, born January 21, 1985) is a Danish singer who performs pop and folk songs. Her debut album "Columbine" gained worldwide fame and sold 100 thousand copies in 2008. The single "I wii live you monday", which was part of the album, went platinum and topped the charts in Germany. The single "Geronimo" reached number one on the German Media Control Charts in 2011. Aura Dion won the European Border Breakers Award in 2011. In 2012 Aura won the MTV Europe Music Award in the category "Best Danish Performer".
