Triplex is a Russian musical project performing electronic music. The band was founded in 1992, consisting of Andrey Ivanov, Andrey Andreyev, Andrey Potapov and Alexey Petin. Due to the presence of three Andreyevs in the band, the name Triplex-A (triple "A") appeared, later shortened to just Triplex. Since 1995 the ensemble actually turns into a solo project of Andrey Ivanov. Soon Triplex starts to become known outside the club scene. The album "Catapult" is released; the song of the same name and the remix of "Hound of the Baskervilles" get into radio rotations and occupy places in charts. Triplex receives Funny House Dance Awards, often performs at club music festivals. In 2000s Triplex becomes known first of all for recording soundtracks for movies and TV series. The first known work was the soundtrack to the movie "The Collector" by Yuri Grymov. The most famous was the soundtrack to the TV series "Brigada" in 2003. It received the MTV Russia award as "the best ringtone of the year", the music video for the title track topped the hit parade of this TV channel. Two years later Triplex together with the Finnish rock band Apocalyptica recorded the soundtrack to the movie "Shadow Fight".
