John's tracks have reached the top of the Billboard Dance Radio Top 10 chart. The single "Tsunami", which was recorded in 2013, reached number one on the Beatport 100, has not left the top of the charts in 15 countries and won the EMPO award as the best track of the year. Borger was listed as one of the best DJs of 2013 by DJ Mag. In 2014, the tracks "Invincible" and "Wildfire" were in the top 10 of Billboard's Dance Radio chart.
