"Odyn v kanoe" was formed in 2010 in Lviv. On November 27 of the same year, the first solo performance took place, where the musicians presented their first songs. Since then, the group has performed solo concerts in most major cities of Ukraine, performed in Prague, Paris, Cambridge, Minsk, Moscow and Gdańsk, and participated in many festivals. The number of participants changed several times, as a result of which two remained from the original composition: Ira Shvaidak (vocalist) and Ustym Pokhmurskyi (guitarist). Later, they invited the percussionist Olena Davydenko to their place. In this composition, the group existed for six years, releasing in 2016 the debut album with the same name "Odyn v kanoe". The album included 25 compositions, as a result of a five-year search for eternal meanings, the slogan of which still remains more than the words: "Strength in simplicity." The modern composition of the group consists of vocalist Iryna Shvaydak, guitarist Ustym Pokhmurskyi and session drummer Ihor Dzikovskyi.
