"Kombinatsiya was a Soviet and then Russian female pop group founded in 1988 in Saratov that became famous in the early 1990s. It was distinguished by the acute social themes of its songs, almost each of which reflected one or another phenomenon occurring in society at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s: widespread shortages of goods, youth fashion, the popularity of certain attributes of "beautiful life", the boom of Latin American serials, adoration of representatives of developed capitalist countries, and so on. Famous hits: "Russian Girls", "American Boy", "Accountant", "Two pieces of sausage", "Cherry Nine".
