Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958, Gary, Indiana - June 25, 2009, Los Angeles, California) - American singer, songwriter, music producer, arranger, dancer, choreographer, actor, screenwriter, philanthropist and entrepreneur. One of the most successful performers in the history of pop music, he is known as "The King of Pop" and the winner of 15 Grammy Awards and hundreds of other awards. Born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, Michael Jackson was the seventh of nine children in the family of Joseph and Katherine Jackson. Michael grew up with three sisters and five brothers. About two hours later Murray returned to find his patient lying on the bed with his eyes and mouth wide open. The doctor tried to resuscitate the singer, but the attempts were unsuccessful. At 12:21 p.m. local Pacific time, a 911 call was logged. The paramedics arrived 3 minutes and 17 seconds later and found Jackson out of breath with his heart stopped and began CPR. Attempts to bring Michael Jackson back to life continued on the road and for an hour after arriving at UCLA Medical Center at 1:14pm. These attempts were unsuccessful. Death was pronounced at 2:26 p.m. local time.
