Delta Lea Goodrem (born November 9, 1984, Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian singer and actress. Having signed her first contract with Sony at the age of 15, Goodrem became famous in 2002, performing in the popular television series "Neighbors" the role of Nina Tucker, after which she began a successful music career. The singer's first album Innocent Eyes, much of which she co-wrote with Katie Dennis, was released in 2003, sold over a million copies and topped the Australian chart for 29 weeks (rising to #2 in the UK). In addition to Dennis, Goodrem invited Gary Barlow (Take That) and writer-producer Guy Chambers, known for his work with Robbie Williams, to work on the songs on the second LP. The result of this collaboration was the album Mistaken Identity, released in the summer of 2005. Goodrem recorded her third album Delta, working with Brian McFadden (Westlife), Stuart Creighton and Tommy Lee James. In total, as of 2008, over 5 million of her albums have been sold worldwide.
In 2003, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. Having undergone a successful course of therapy, she began to give much of her time to charity work, in particular, took an active part in the creation of a special charity website to help teenagers suffering from cancer.
She dated actor and singer Nick Jonas, who is eight years younger than her. On February 20, 2012, Celebuzz, The Telegraph, 9 News, Herald Sun confirmed that Nick and Delta had broken up.
