Eros Luciano Walter Ramazzotti (Italian: Eros Luciano Walter Ramazzotti; born October 28, 1963, Rome) is an Italian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is one of the most popular Italian singers, known not only in English-speaking Europe, but also in Spanish-speaking countries, as he has released most of his albums in Italian and Spanish.
Since 1984, Ramazzotti has released 11 studio albums, one minion, three compilation albums, three live albums, and 46 singles, all of which have charted high in many European countries as well as in South and Central America. Ramazzotti has sold more than 100 million records in his 25-year career. The performer's success is greatly aided by his unique high voice.
International success first came to Ramazzotti in 1993, after the release of the album Tutte storie, with which he managed to reach the top five in every country in which his previous albums had been released. After selling six million copies of the Tutte storie album, he signed a deal with BMG International in 1994.
He has sung duets with artists such as Cher, Tina Turner, Andrea Bocelli, Patsy Kensit, Adriano Celentano, Joe Cocker, Anastaysha, Ani Lorak, Luciano Pavarotti, Ricky Martin and many others. From 1998 to 2002, Eros Ramazzotti was married to Swiss model and actress Michelle Hunziker, from whom he has a daughter Aurora (born December 5, 1996).
On June 6, 2014, the singer married Italian model and actress Marica Pellegrinelli. From this marriage, Ramazzotti has two children: daughter Raffaela (born August 3, 2011) and son Gabrio Tullio (born March 14, 2015). The couple separated in 2019.
On April 13, 2006, Ramazzotti published a 320-page autobiography co-written with Luca Bianchini.
A soccer fan and honorary supporter of Juventus of Turin, in 2017 Ramazzotti participated in a charity match organized by the club, performing for the Italian Singers National Team
