“Survivor” is an American hard rock band. The band was formed in the winter of 1978 in Chicago. The founding members were Jim Petherick - keyboardist, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Dave Bickler - singer, and guitarist Frank Sullivan. The band's calling card is the popular 1982 song "Eye Of The Tiger," which won a Grammy Award, for Best New Song . The song was written at the request of Sylvester Stallone for the movie Rocky 3.
