This sensational new single neatly nods to the past while proving that Texas refuse to stand still. A brand new collaboration with Wu-Tang Clan, it finds a soulful Sharleen nestled next to boisterous raps from RZA and Ghostface Killah over a cinematic backdrop of lush beats and acoustic guitar. It was RZA who suggested the reunion after meeting Texas in Glasgow last year to shoot a short film revisiting their ground-breaking remix of Say What You Want, a Top 3 hit which, performed with Method Man, stole the show at 1998’s Brit Awards. On the finished song Sharleen trades lines with the two rappers and Hi becomes ‘high’. “My take is that RZA is rapping about being high on love,” says Sharleen. “That’s where he is in his life right now – love is what makes him high.
