LAUD presents a song that the whole world will hear on January 27, the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. "Stop The War" is an English-language single imbued with a motivational and inspiring atmosphere. LAUD draws the world's attention to the war that needs to be stopped. Although we were scared at the beginning, and we remember how it all started, Ukrainians now feel only unity and strength. "The world should not tolerate war. If Ukraine does not stop the aggressor, the terrorists will move on. We cannot allow this war to go on, because at some point the aggressor may knock on the door of a European or an American. That is, the war in Ukraine is a matter for the entire civilized world," says the artist.
The musical arrangement and the artist's signature performance style make this song not a typical sad war lyric, but a manifesto for a confident victory. Soul music with R&B motifs emphasizes the light and hope that the artist wanted to convey. The minimalist approach to the arrangements is a parallel to how little is really needed to live happily and create something valuable.
"For almost a year now, many people have been tired of the heavy and tragic news, many people have suffered losses, and we have all divided our lives into before and after. In 2022, I have given many concerts in Ukraine and abroad, I see people returning to their normal lives and it is good. At the same time, I want to focus people's attention on the fact that we cannot ignore the war. We must strive for victory, and the world will help stop the aggressor, I am convinced," the singer says.
The song was written in the first days of the full-scale invasion, but after the events of 14.01.2023 in Dnipro, when a Russian missile destroyed a residential building, the team decided to express themselves in such a way that as many people on our planet as possible could hear and understand it. To do so with the dignity and style inherent in LAUD. We decided to do it in the best way available to us - with a release.
In memory of Dnipro, the cover artwork combines two images: a photo of a destroyed house and the artist's hometown of Kyiv. "Stop The War is today's open dialogue between Ukraine and the entire civilized world. This is the light we are heading towards and which nourishes us from within. It is the decision of everyone that brings the end of the war and the victory of Ukraine closer.
