The song "Fortress Bakhmut" aims to strengthen the spirit of the military who are defending our country, holding a huge front and a hot piece of Ukrainian land, another symbol of resilience, courage and strength - the city of Bakhmut. The song should help the Ukrainian people to pass difficult tests and make difficult decisions in the time of need for the Motherland.
The lyrics were created in a day. The melody and harmony were written by a soldier, the band's musician Serhiy Vusyk, and have been in the band's musical arsenal for a long time, but they were waiting for their time and today were supplemented with arrangements and features that the musicians received during the war.
"Fortress Bakhmut" is a dedication to the resilience and heroism of the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian military, who are fighting against Russia's unjustified and unjust aggression.
"As musicians, we realized that we needed to do something inspiring, something that would make us want to tear up the earth, go into battle, stand and not retreat. But as citizens who have combat experience, we understand that we need to do our job and our task calmly, as we were taught, and that the future of Ukraine is behind us, behind those who are now resisting the occupiers with weapons. And no matter what happens around you, you have to pull yourself together and do your best. It so happened that we have experienced enough of such situations, so we understand better than anyone what we are singing about and what our brothers in arms are standing for in the most hellish place in the world today," says Taras Topolya, leader of the band Antytila.
"The walls are burning in battle, mom, and I am standing!" The band's YouTube channel has posted a lyric video for the song, in which we see footage of the destroyed city of Bakhmut, filmed by the band and our friends a few days ago.
