Standing in the middle of the desert in Southern Ukraine in a long black dress during the filming of the "Pritiazhenie" video, singer ETOLUBOV hardly understood what lay ahead for this song.
Two years ago, "Pritiazhenie" first saw the light of day. The initial reaction to the single was modest, as the audience needed time to savor its unique blend of bitter neo-pop sound, fusing European electronics with Middle Eastern melodicism.
What followed was the most interesting part. The song began appearing more frequently in playlists, and numerous remixes were created. One of these remixes captured the audience's attention, frequently featured by listeners, top bloggers on TikTok, and Instagram. Eventually, this remix was released separately by Warner Music, giving the song another surge of attention.
Then the real magic began. Whether the song's title proved prophetic, allowing ETOLUBOV to defy the laws of gravity and expand the limits of what's possible in the music industry, or destiny pointed her towards a creative path, "Pritiazhenie" began breaking all possible records and quickly elevated ETOLUBOV from a local pop phenomenon to a potentially next big thing on the world stage.
Becoming an international hit, the song amassed over 2 billion views on TikTok and entered the world Shazam chart, settling at the 33rd position – marking the first such success in the history of Ukrainian music.
Even two years after its release, "Pritiazhenie" continues to gather new fans, moving further east. In 2023, the song went viral in many Asian countries, even entering radio rotation in Turkey, where it currently holds the 183rd spot on the combined international artist chart.
On the eve of ETOLUBOV's debut album release and following numerous requests from listeners, the singer presents the EP "Attraction (Pritiazhenie)," which includes the original version of the song, the same remix, and the so-called "001SHOW" – a version from the forthcoming impressive live show filmed in Bali.
