Following from his album announcement last November, Charlie Cunningham releases new single taken from the aforementioned album ‘Frame’. ‘Birds Eye View’ explores Charlie’s catholic roots. With its uplifting lyric lines and regular, structured syllables, the song takes on a hymnal atmosphere. Losing his grandmother a little before the pandemic gave Cunningham pause to interrogate the nature of the ‘spiritual confusion’ he feels from the absence of religion in his adulthood. ‘The loss sparked an odd contradiction and connection. It’s like my faith—whatever that is—lives on in me through her belief, like a fragment of my personality. It’s a hopeful one. I’m glad it’s there.’. The 22 date UK and EU tour is now on sale and will see Charlie performing at venues across the continent.
