Shania Twain is bringing festive cheer and laughter to Netflix! The country-pop icon recently shared her experience working alongside Sabrina Carpenter in A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter, a holiday variety music special that hit the platform this weekend.
Featuring original and classic holiday songs, the show boasts an all-star lineup including Chappell Roan, Tyla, Kali Uchis, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, and many more. Twain joined Carpenter for a heartwarming duet, which the legendary artist described as a highlight of her holiday season.
Taking to Twitter, Twain reflected on the collaboration:
"What do you say when Sabrina calls you up and asks if you want to sing a Christmas song together? Obviously, you say, ‘Sure, I would love to sing with you, Sabrina!’ When I tell you I had the most fun shooting A Nonsense Christmas, I’m not exaggerating. She is so funny—I basically spent the entire shoot laughing! You can watch our cute duet together tonight.”
Carpenter responded with equal enthusiasm, tweeting back: “I adore you, Shania!!!!!”
The special also featured tracks from Carpenter’s 2023 Christmas-themed EP, Fruitcake. Among the standout moments was a duet with breakout star Chappell Roan on Wham!’s iconic “Last Christmas,” celebrating the 40th anniversary of the beloved George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley classic.
Carpenter previously teased her approach to the project, saying:
“The holidays have always been so special to me. I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show—infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”
