Iconic electronic group Leftfield is gearing up to celebrate their 35th anniversary with two massive UK shows in 2025. The legendary trio—Neil Barnes, Adam Wren, and Sebastian Beresford—will mark the milestone with electrifying performances at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on May 30 and Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom on June 6.
The dates hold special significance for the band, with Brixton being their first show at the venue in eight years and Barrowlands serving as a long-time favorite for the group.
Reflecting on the announcement, Neil Barnes shared:
“It will be 35 years since I released the first Leftfield track, ‘Not Forgotten’, and 30 years of ‘Leftism’. It feels like the perfect time to celebrate. Brixton Academy and Glasgow Barrowlands are the only places that felt right for us to blow the roofs off. Leftfield 35—Leftism & beyond. Let’s make it unforgettable. Can’t wait to see you there!”
Leftfield, known as pioneers of progressive house, rose to fame with their genre-blending mix of house, dub, hip-hop, reggae, and techno. Their groundbreaking 1995 album Leftism remains a cornerstone of electronic music, followed by the equally revered Rhythm And Stealth in 1999.
Reuniting in 2010, the group continued to innovate, releasing Alternative Light Source (2015) and This Is What We Do (2022). Timeless hits like Open Up featuring John Lydon, Release The Pressure with Earl Sixteen, and Africa Shox with Afrika Bambaataa are staples of their dynamic live performances.
Fans can also catch Leftfield at next summer’s Bearded Theory Festival in Derbyshire and Ireland’s All Together Now Festival.
