Jack Harlow Performs Elvis and Sinatra Classics with Orchestra

Jack Harlow brought a touch of nostalgia to his hometown this weekend, performing timeless hits by Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra alongside the Louisville Orchestra.

Closing out the 2024 leg of his orchestral tour, Harlow played two sold-out shows on November 29 and 30 at the Kentucky Center For The Performing Arts’ Whitney Hall. The rapper-turned-maestro fused his hip-hop charisma with classic American standards, delivering an unforgettable finale.

In addition to showcasing tracks from his latest album, Jackman, with live debuts of “Ambitious” and “Hello Miss Johnson,” Harlow surprised the audience with covers of Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon” and Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” The former was dedicated to Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear on Friday and to Harlow’s grandmother on Saturday, while the latter was a heartfelt tribute to his father.

Reflecting on the journey, Harlow told the Saturday crowd:

“In 2022, we played KFC YUM Center for the first time. In 2023, we went to cities across Kentucky … now we’re here with the Louisville Orchestra and we want to keep this going, we have to keep this going, so what should we do in 2025? I’m open to suggestions.”

Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Louisville Orchestra and its educational and community outreach programs, which have provided 35,000 Kentuckians with access to free orchestral music, according to the orchestra's Chief Executive Graham Parker.
