Playboi Carti is turning up the heat for Rolling Loud Miami this December. The enigmatic Atlanta rapper is set to perform his long-awaited third studio album, I Am Music, in its entirety during his headline set on December 15.
After years of teasing the project, Carti’s Opium collective confirmed the news on Instagram, writing: “Miami ten year anniversary – I Am Music will b played – Kant wait to see yal MFs nah fr.” Fans are already buzzing about what promises to be a historic performance.
Tariq Cherif, co-founder of Rolling Loud, hyped up the announcement even further on social media, sharing his excitement after previewing the album. “Was on FaceTime with Carti last night for like 2 hours. Bro played me some fiiiiiire from the album. I Am Music is about to be a classic. Rolling Loud Miami debut. Movie!” he tweeted, adding that Carti is “sorry about Thailand,” referencing canceled festival appearances earlier this year due to travel issues.
Despite those setbacks, Carti has kept the momentum alive with standout performances, including a surprise set at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival. He treated fans to his recent hits like “Backr00ms,” “2024,” and “EvilJordan,” alongside a show-stopping live rendition of “Timeless” with The Weeknd.
I Am Music is rumored to feature those tracks, plus the September single “All Red.” With his Miami set poised to showcase the album in full, fans are ready for a wild ride into Carti’s next era.
