Destiny’s Child gave fans another heartwarming reunion this week as Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland came out to support Michelle Williams on the opening night of Death Becomes Her on Broadway. The musical, an adaptation of the iconic 1992 dark comedy film, premiered on Thursday (November 21) at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City.
Williams takes center stage in the role of Viola Van Horn, stepping into the Broadway spotlight in a story originally brought to life by legends like Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. Her former bandmates were there to cheer her on, turning the evening into a mini Destiny’s Child celebration.
Beyoncé shared glimpses of the reunion on Instagram, posting backstage snaps and videos of the trio. She paired the post with Cowboy Carter’s track II Most Wanted, capturing the vibe of sisterhood and celebration. Williams responded in the comments:
"I try not to cry too early in the day BUT……. My sisters 4ever!”
This marks the latest in a string of reunions for the legendary group. Earlier this year, the trio sang a heartfelt rendition of Happy Birthday at Kelly Rowland’s husband Tim Weatherspoon’s 50th birthday bash, which was dubbed the highlight of the event.
Fans still hold vivid memories of their unforgettable performances together, from their surprise appearances during Beyoncé’s 2013 Super Bowl halftime show and her 2018 “Beychella” Coachella set, to their gospel collaboration on Michelle’s hit Say Yes.
