Adele has officially brought her Weekends With Adele Las Vegas residency to a close, marking the end of a two-year run that’s captivated fans and smashed records. The final show, held this weekend, was filled with heartfelt moments and raw emotions as the singer admitted she has no idea when—or if—she’ll return to the stage anytime soon.
“I will miss it terribly. I will miss you terribly,” Adele told the audience through tears. “I don’t have any f**king plans. I’m actually shitting myself about what I’m going to do.”
The superstar has been candid about her desire to step back from the spotlight for a while. Earlier this year, she hinted at taking a break to explore other creative avenues, saying, “I want a big break after this.”
Adele also took a moment to shout out Taylor Swift, who is nearing the end of her massive Eras tour. “That’s been a long f**king tour. Girl needs some rest. She deserves her rest,” she said, nodding to Swift’s equally demanding schedule.
The residency has been transformative for Adele, who called her time in Vegas one of the happiest chapters of her life. “My life is a thousand times better than it was before this,” she told the crowd, admitting she was “genuinely sad” for it to end.
In addition to her farewell to Vegas, Adele’s year has been filled with milestones. She confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul during a performance in Munich and expressed hopes of having another child. Her 10-show run in Germany’s Messe München arena also marked her long-awaited return to mainland Europe since 2016.
With no immediate plans for a new album or tour, Adele fans may be waiting for a while. But she’s reassured them: whenever her next project comes to life, she’ll bring it to them, wherever they are.
