TikTok has announced a significant long-term partnership with the International Copyright Enterprise (ICE) to support songwriters and musicians around the globe.
The deal, revealed on Monday (November 18), grants TikTok ongoing access to ICE’s extensive catalog, which boasts over 54 million musical works from more than 330,000 rights holders. ICE will assist in royalty payments to creators whose songs are used on the TikTok platform.
“Partnering with TikTok presents a tremendous opportunity to support songwriters worldwide by blending creativity and technology to ensure their work is recognized and rewarded,” said John Hall, Head of Licensing at ICE.
