Mobile game publisher Amanotes has struck a fresh music licensing deal with NCS (NoCopyrightSounds), allowing the integration of a significant portion of NCS's catalog of 1,500 tracks into Amanotes' games. This collaboration will impact popular titles like Magic Tiles 3, Tiles Hop, and Dancing Road.
The partnership with NCS represents a major opportunity for these games, as NCS's catalog includes tracks from trending music genres, including the rapidly emerging sound of funk. Amanotes reports having 73 million active users each month, a notable decline from the 105 million the company boasted back in February 2023. Nonetheless, it still provides a robust platform for promoting new music.
In the coming weeks, Amanotes plans to launch special playlists and holiday campaigns aimed at spotlighting these new musical additions to their games. Amanotes’ licensing manager, Carter Pham, emphasized that the collaboration with NCS will open new horizons for incorporating a diverse range of tracks into their games. This, in turn, is expected to create a more engaging and captivating experience for users, which is crucial for retaining and attracting players to their products.
