Travis Scott has weighed in after Coldplay surprised fans by performing a cover of his track "Goosebumps" during their final Sydney show on November 10.
The moment unfolded when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin noticed fans chanting for Scott’s song “FE!N” at Accor Stadium. “What does that mean? Play ‘FE!N’ by Travis Scott?” Martin joked to the crowd. “I’m under pressure. I can’t remember the whole Travis Scott catalog right now.” Still, he quickly transitioned into rapping the iconic chorus of “Goosebumps” — “I get those goosebumps every time you come around” — and shared that it’s his favorite song by the rapper.
The unexpected tribute delighted fans, especially when Martin wove the chorus into Coldplay’s own “God Put A Smile Upon Your Face,” blending the two hits. Social media quickly lit up with clips from the performance, and Scott reacted to the shoutout on X, posting “This got it” with a goat emoji, a nod to Martin as the Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T.).
The connection between Scott and Coldplay has grown over time, with Scott previously name-dropping the band in his music. On “Way Back,” he raps, “Flew with that sound, got that Coldplay,” and on “Til Further Notice,” he mentions, “I been bumpin’ more Coldplay, the world cold as sh*t.”
Coldplay’s “Music Of The Spheres” tour is set to continue in North America and return to the UK next year, where they’ll set a record-breaking 10-night residency at Wembley Stadium, surpassing Taylor Swift and Take That’s previous achievements.
