Linkin Park stormed back onto the music scene with a hard-hitting new single, ‘Casualty’, unveiled during their ‘From Zero’ world tour. The song is the latest taste from their highly anticipated comeback album, marking the band’s first release since the tragic loss of Chester Bennington. Stepping into the spotlight is Emily Armstrong, former frontwoman of Dead Sara, who joins Mike Shinoda and the reimagined lineup in bringing Linkin Park’s sound into a bold new era.
During a show-stopping set at Dallas’s Globe Life Field on November 8, ‘Casualty’ made its debut to roaring fans, who showed up in full force. Midway through their 28-song lineup, Shinoda called out to the audience, inviting them to “show us the biggest pit that you can,” cranking up the energy for ‘Casualty’’s powerful introduction.
The Dallas show wasn’t short on surprises either. Helmet’s Page Hamilton joined the stage for the first-ever live performance of ‘All For Nothing’, a fan-favorite from Linkin Park’s ‘The Hunting Party’ album. Shinoda recently shared insights on the re-energized dynamic of the band, stating that it feels “the best we’ve had,” highlighting Armstrong’s magnetic presence and the return of Colin Brittain on drums.
‘Casualty’ joins ‘Heavy Is The Crown’, ‘The Emptiness Machine’, and ‘Over Each Other’ as the latest preview of ‘From Zero’, with a promise of more electrifying releases as Linkin Park’s tour rolls on. Although founding members Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon are no longer touring, Delson remains behind the scenes, collaborating on new music and helping shape the band's new chapter.
