My Chemical Romance is stirring the emo pot once again. The band has just announced a monumental 2025 US tour to celebrate their iconic 2006 album, The Black Parade, but fans think there might be more to the story.
The tour kicks off on July 11 at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park and will hit major cities like Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto, and more before wrapping up on September 13 in Tampa. With an eclectic mix of opening acts, including Violent Femmes, IDLES, Garbage, Death Cab for Cutie, and Evanescence, the lineup promises to be as electric as the headliners.
But it’s not just the tour news that has fans buzzing. Recent cryptic teasers on the band’s social media have left followers speculating about the possibility of new music. Posts featuring one-word captions like “Opera” and “Good Boy” have sparked discussions, with some believing these might be new song titles.
On Reddit, eagle-eyed fans pointed out a curious update to the band’s YouTube channel. According to one post, the total number of uploads increased from 162 to 164 within days, hinting at private or unlisted videos that could signify something brewing behind the scenes.
“A new album would mean so much to people who cannot afford to go see them live. I hope they are thinking of those fans also,” commented one fan on Instagram. Others leaned into the humor, with one quipping, “The f*ck does that mean michael romans?”
The excitement follows the band’s recent performance at the When We Were Young festival, where they played The Black Parade in its entirety.
