The Spotify Global Weekly Chart top new releases are:
American alt-R&B sensation Tinashe makes an impressive debut on the charts, storming in at #84 with her latest track Nasty. Released under an independent label, the song quickly went viral on social media, aided by none other than Janet Jackson herself, who joined in its promotion. This marks a significant comeback for the singer, reminiscent of Janet Jackson's own hit of the same name back in 1986, which dominated global charts.
Meanwhile, at #91, a classic reggaeton anthem from 2010, Danza Kuduro, has resurfaced. Featured prominently in the soundtrack of "Fast Five", the iconic installment of the action-packed franchise starring Vin Diesel, the track continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. Its inclusion in the film added an extra layer of intensity to the adrenaline-fueled scenes, cementing its status as a timeless party favorite.
And here’s how the top five most spun tracks on the Global Spotify are stacking up today:
1. Please Please Please - Sabrina Carpenter
2. Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter
3. Birds Of A Feather - Billie Eilish
4. Million Dollar Baby - Tommy Richman
5. Gata Only - FloyyMenor & Cris Mj
Last week, 63% of tracks on the air were in English, 16% in Spanish, with Hip-Hop, Pop, Dance and Power Pop reigning as the most popular genres.
