Farewell Rock Anthem: Sum 41's Final Tour "Tour Of The Setting Sum"

In a thunderous crescendo of guitar riffs and heart-pounding beats, Sum 41 has set the stage for their grand finale with the announcement of their farewell tour, aptly titled "Tour Of The Setting Sum". The Canadian rock legends, comprising the dynamic lineup of Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason “Cone” McCaslin, Tom Thacker, and Frank Zummo, are gearing up to bid adieu to their devoted fans across the UK and Europe, marking the end of an era in rock history.

Kicking off amidst an aura of nostalgia and anticipation, the tour will ignite on October 21st in the Netherlands, weaving its way through iconic cities such as Paris, Budapest, Vienna, and culminating in a climactic crescendo at London’s legendary OVO Wembley Arena on October 31st. It’s a tour promised not just to reminisce over the past but to blaze a trail of unforgettable performances that will reverberate in the annals of rock music.

“We are really excited to announce shows in the UK and Europe later this year,” shared frontman Deryck Whibley with palpable excitement. “This forms another leg of our last-ever shows and our fans overseas have been incredible to us over the years, so we can’t wait to put on on the best show of our lives and go out on a high.”

Sum 41’s decision to part ways comes on the heels of their eighth studio album, "Heaven :x: Hell", a testament to their evolution and enduring impact on the rock scene. The band, known for their raw energy and anthemic choruses, has consistently pushed boundaries since their inception in 1996, leaving an indelible mark on fans worldwide.

“Being in Sum 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments of our lives,” they wrote in an X post announcing their disbanding. “We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in every way. It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear it from us first.”

The farewell tour will be supported by punk rock stalwarts The Bronx for the UK leg and pop-punk powerhouse Neck Deep for their European shows, promising a lineup that encapsulates the essence of Sum 41's diverse musical journey.
