BTS vocalist Jin is gearing up for the release of his highly-anticipated solo album Happy, set to drop on November 15. Today (October 17), at midnight KST, the singer revealed the official tracklist, which features exciting collaborations with Red Velvet’s Wendy and Take That’s Gary Barlow.
The album’s lead single, Running Wild, was co-written and co-produced by Gary Barlow, bringing together two global icons from the worlds of K-pop and British pop. Fans are also thrilled about Heart on the Window, a heartfelt duet featuring Wendy of K-pop superstars Red Velvet.
Ahead of the full release, fans can expect a pre-release single titled I’ll Be There on November 1. Co-written by Jin alongside longtime BTS collaborators Pdogg and GHSTLOOP, the song is sure to set the stage for the album’s emotional depth.
Rounding out the six-track record are songs Another Level, Until I Reach You, and Longing, all of which promise to showcase Jin’s signature vocals and storytelling.
Happy marks Jin’s first full-length solo album and comes after his 2022 debut single The Astronaut, a collaboration with Coldplay, released just before he enlisted for his mandatory military service. With his official discharge in June, this album positions Jin as the final BTS member to release a solo project.
Earlier this week, Big Hit Music officially announced Happy following the surprise release of the full version of Jin’s viral 2021 track Super Tuna.
Speaking to Weverse Magazine last month, Jin reflected on the pressure to release his solo album. “[The BTS members] all finished making their own albums before enlisting. That made me think I better not wait too long to release mine, so I’m working to get it done fast,” he shared, hinting that Happy has been a labor of love crafted under time constraints.
