Daft Punk’s Iconic "Alive 2007" Show Could Become a LEGO Set

Daft Punk’s legendary Alive 2007 live show might be coming to life again—but this time, in the form of a LEGO set. The project, crafted by Patrick Haboun and his son, was originally created in 2020 for a LEGO competition in collaboration with Universal Music. The contest invited fans to show their love for music by designing LEGO builds inspired by their favorite artists. While Haboun’s tribute to Daft Punk won first place, another project was chosen for commercial release.

Fast forward four years, and the Habouns are giving it another shot. They’ve now submitted the Alive 2007 project to LEGO Ideas, a platform where fans can propose new sets that, if popular enough, may get turned into official LEGO products. Speaking to DJ Mag, Patrick said, "We’re feeling inspired to try One More Time after seeing Daft Punk making their Lego debut in the upcoming film Piece By Piece, alongside Pharrell Williams."

This fan-driven effort to immortalize Daft Punk’s most iconic live performance echoes a growing trend in music-inspired LEGO sets. Hungarian designer Tomasso Builds (real name Tamás Borján) recently submitted a replica of the classic Technics SL-1200 MK2 turntable to LEGO Ideas, following up on his earlier submission of a LEGO version of the Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus.

Fans can now cast their votes to help bring the Daft Punk Alive 2007 LEGO set to life on the LEGO Ideas website. With enough support, the set could potentially make it to shelves, allowing fans to build their own piece of music history.
